Event details

The course follows closely the military 5 paragraph operations order known as SMEAC. The operations order format as taught in this class is designed for law enforcement use. The history of SMEAC, a detailed explanation of the contents of an effective operational plan, and a detailed protocol for analyzing the mission are all brought together in practical exercises.

The objective of the course is to have each participant leave with the knowledge to put together an effective operational plan.

This is a 16 hour, two-day course. This course has been approved by the Minnesota Police Officer Standards and Training Board for 16 hours of continuing education credits.

Day One

Instructors

This class is taught by Steve Blackwell, Dustin Salomon, Michael Murphy, and Allen Garber. Steve, Allen, and Michael have military combat experience. Steve and Allen have years of law enforcement experience including planning many SWAT operations. Michael is a long time paramedic and paramedic supervisor who pioneered the use of medics with SWAT. Dustin is a former Naval Officer with extensive experience in security and operational planning. In addition Dustin has combat zone/critical threat experience as a civilian security contractor.

 


Cancellation policy

Full refunds are available for the class if we are more than 60 days from the class date. A 50% refund is available up to 30 days prior to the class date. Any cancellations within 30 days will not be refunded. 

SMEAC reserves the right to cancel this class, at full refund to the purchaser if the minimum number of students is not met. You will be notified of this cancellation no less than two weeks prior to the class.
